55 New Job Openings within Hockey - Monday November 18th 2024

Hey guys,

As we get deeper into the hockey season and teams are getting more into the swing of things, more internships for the spring and the summer start to open up! If you’re currently in school, now is a great time to start dusting off those resumes and keep an eye out for your summer internship.

55 roles below, broken into a chart for Full-Time roles and a chart for Part-Time / Internships. There’s something for each and all of you this week, enjoy!

MFRotW. Not sure if that abbreviation will stick, but this week, my favourite role of the week is Community and Hockey Development Coordinator with the Los Angeles Kings.

This junior role does a ton for both the Kings and the community; from organizing ball hockey leagues to coordinating equipment sales and drives to leading school visits and charity events. Be sure to check this one out!

This week’s advice is short and sweet, but also features a poll as I want to know how you all feel about it.

The sports world is competitive, and especially in the biggest markets. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins are going to get more applicants for their jobs, because of who they are and where they are.

I was told early in my University days, “if you want to expand your horizons, sometimes you have to expand your horizons.”

While it’s a bit of a weird saying, in general it means that if you want bigger and better things, you have to broaden what you are looking at, and particularly in this case, they meant that in the sports world - you should be willing to relocate and consider at other teams.

Is this to say you cannot get a job with your hometown team or achieve your dream role? No, of course not. It just means that in this ever-competitive industry, sometimes you’ll have to broaden your search in order to get yourself in the door.

With that being said, I want to turn a similar question back to each of you.
