This week’s list of jobs is STACKED. Plain and simple. But before we get started, we have to talk about Ovi.
Alex Ovechkin. The Great Eight. My favourite hockey player as a kid. This season has been amazing watching him chase the NHL’s goal scoring record; and I was lucky enough to be in-person at UBS Arena for the record-breaking goal on Sunday afternoon.
Without question it was the coolest sports moment I’ve ever witnessed live, and the theatrics and ceremony following it were surreal. A great moment for our beloved game. Congrats to Ovi, and all my Caps fans (hopefully see you Thursday in DC).

My Favourite Role of the Week
An easy choice for me this week - it’s the Director, Hockey Operations/Governance role with the AHL League Office. Processing and approving all player transactions, handling Central Registry, managing waivers and eligibility; this sounds like an UNREAL job. You’ll definitely want to check this one out!
Advice of the Week
This week, my advice is pretty simple, but it’s always worth noting.
I know social media is fun and loose and you use it with your friends - but if you’re using it in a professional manner (networking, applying to jobs, etc) you need to remain professional online.
The number of “Yo sauce me this job” comments I’ve gotten lately is crazy lol. Not to mention, Recruiters are continually bringing up the lack of professional they are both hearing and seeing from candidates in interviews and in emails lately.
Keep it professional when you’re on the job search - these little things matter when a company is deciding between 1,000 applicants!
