Before we get into the jobs for the week though, I want to take a second to explain the dynamics of the newsletter, especially for all of our newer subscribers.
My name is Nick Bowins and I’ve been building Working in Hockey as a side project since April 2024. Every week, I send this email which compiles every open job in the hockey world, to make it easier for people like us to find job opportunities in our beloved game.
I get asked almost every week by people in the industry, “why is this newsletter free?” The answer I give everyone is that I genuinely enjoy helping people, and that when I look back on younger me - I would have killed for a resource like this, but probably couldn’t have paid for it while in school.
So, my promise to you guys is that my hockey jobs newsletter will always be free.
Am I going to build other branches of this brand, and will I charge for specific services in the future? Yes, likely. That’s how any side project becomes a proper business.
