The leaves are falling, we have NHL pre-season drama, and teams continue to post cool hockey jobs!

My Favourite Role of the Week
It was a bit of a toss up this week, but I decided my favourite role is Team Photographer with the Utah Hockey Club! So many of you guys reached out about the role when I shared it on Instagram, and I believe that being a new organization, this role has the opportunity to do some really fruitful and impactful work!
Advice of the Week
I have 2 pieces of advice for you all this week. Number 1, catch up on sleep before the NHL season comes back next week. Number 2, create and maintain a Linkedin account.
I put a poll on Instagram a couple weeks ago asking how many of you use/check Linkedin; honestly I was surprised to see about 35% of you not using it regularly!
Linkedin is the single best way to not only connect with professionals online, but also just to stay up to date with the industry. As much as I network and chat with people on Linkedin, for me it’s much more about seeing what teams have accomplished, who is doing freelance work for what company, what community event my favourite team has coming up, etc. Stay in the know and get your name in the mix by following along and interacting with hockey brands + teams on Linkedin!
