Happy Monday friends,

This week’s newsletter is all about the PWHL. Well, not all about it - but with the new expansion franchise in Vancouver and a number of new remote jobs with the league office, I know you guys are going to be all over it!

PS if you don’t see all the roles listed below or it looks cut off, click “view entire message” at the bottom of the email

Let’s get right into it 👇

My Favourite Role of the Week

This one was pretty obvious: General Manager of the new PWHL Vancouver franchise. Once in a lifetime type of opportunity with this job being posted publicly.

Definitely check this one out and read up on the job description, it’s extremely interesting to see - but please do be reasonable when applying.
As much as I’d love this role, and I’m sure you would too, applying with no relevant experience is not worthwhile on a role this niche. They’re requesting at least 7+ years' of leadership and management experience working within professional sports and/or with elite athletes.

Nick’s Notes

This is the best time of year for Hockey Ops jobs. If you’re on the hunt, you can start reaching out to people as you see their team’s season end.

In sports they always say ‘the best ability is availability’ and the same goes for the job searching a lot of times. Be proactive, put yourself out there, stay top of mind, and hope the right opportunity comes up as you network.
