Happy Monday everybody,
I’m back with this week’s list of new job openings in hockey, including a ton of great internships!

My Favourite Role of the Week
My favourite role this week is Head Equipment Manager for the Ottawa Charge in the PWHL. You guys have been super interested in Equipment Manager opportunities in the past, and I don’t blame you! I think the PWHL is on a great path, I think Equipment roles are awesome - so be sure to check this one out!
Advice of the Week
I always say that people’s favourite thing to hear is their own name. Yet so often, we reach out to people with generic copy-and-paste messages that just start with a “hey there” or have to get reintroduced to people we’ve crossed paths with before.
When you reach out to someone, use their name. When you start talking to someone at a career fair, say their name a few times through the convo. When you write your cover letter, look up the hiring manager online and write the letter addressed to them.
In an industry as reliant on networking as the sports industry is - address people by their name. Take the 30 seconds to look something up about them. Remember something personal they shared and bring it up in your follow-up. It feels personal, welcoming, and shows you paid attention.
